VP Biden’s Interpreters Quickly Translate Health Advice
Joe Biden’s Health Advice
When Vice President Joe Biden offered some good friendly health advice regarding the swine flu it quickly had to be translated by members of the Biden translation team.
“I would tell members of my family – and I have – I wouldn’t go anywhere in confined places now”
“It’s not just going to Mexico, if you’re in a confined aircraft and one person sneezes it goes all the way through the aircraft”
“That’s me. I would not be at this point, if they had another way of transportation, suggesting they ride the subway.”
“If you’re out in the middle of a field and someone sneezes, that’s one thing. If you’re in a closed aircraft or a closed container, a closed car, a closed classroom, it’s a different thing”
~VP Joe Biden on NBC’s “Today” show, April 30, 2009
The Official White House Translation
“The advice he is giving family members is the same advice the administration is giving to all Americans: that they should avoid unnecessary air travel to and from Mexico. If they are sick, they should avoid airplanes and other confined public spaces, such as subways.”
~Email from Biden spokeswoman Elizabeth Alexander
Maybe if we all stay home for a week the swine flu will run its course and we can then get back to a normal life again. In an attempt to quell Joe Biden’s foot-in-mouth disease the White House is possibly trying to stop the spread of two pandemics.
