The Pelosi Paradox

House Speaker Pelosi visited the Pope this week trying to portray the good Catholic when in fact she is a staunch pro-choice advocate and caters to the pro-abortion crowd. This did not go unnoticed by the Pope and his message was clear when he spoke of the church’s teaching “on the dignity of human life from conception to natural death.”

How do any good Catholics reconcile themselves after voting for Obama yet support pro-life doctrine? Barack Obama has lifted the ban on exporting funds to other countries for worldwide abortions. This has to create a conundrum and personal inner turmoil when the faithful face their priest during weekly Mass knowing they had a hand in this policy. One can only assume the confessional line was long after this past election.
