Two Dogs In The White House

After viewing Sunday morning’s Meet the Press it is apparent that there are two dogs in the White House. There is the Obama family pet dog Bo, a Portuguese water dog and then there is Robert Gibbs, the President’s personal lapdog aka the White House Press Secretary. Like a dog chasing its tail he puts the spin on the Obama policy of whether or not to prosecute former Bush officials regarding torture policies.

Can anyone watch this video and come to a conclusion as to where the President stands on the issue of prosecuting former Bush officials? The clarity is obscured in an attempt to pass the buck on to other agencies and departments. Words that come to mind: double-speak, double-talk, gibberish, drivel, babble, hogwash, malarkey, gobbledygook. Gibbs tries to tap dance around the President’s policy of moving forward when there is still the hint of retribution toward the past administration. Maybe he’s more accomplished at other tricks like fetching Obama’s slippers or retrieving the newspaper.

Bo need not worry, there’s no competition, he’ll always be the First Dog in this White House.
