Presidential Gag Gifts

It appears that the Obama administration does not quite have the Presidential gift giving figured out. First he returns the bust of Winston Churchill that was sitting in the Oval Office. He then gives British Prime Minister Brown the Obama snub followed up by a gift set of 25 American classic movies on DVD. Real classy, especially after PM Brown presented Obama with a pen holder fashioned from a famous British warship.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton presented Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov with a button that said “peregruzka,” which translates into Russian as “overcharge” or “overload”. It was meant to say “reset”.

Barack Obama put Joe Biden in charge of the stimulus bill. It looks like Joe is also in charge of the Presidential gift-giving.

Maybe the Obama administration should stock up on some gift T-shirts with the following printed on the front – “All I Got From America Was This Lousy T-Shirt”.
