Obama’s Slip-Slidin’ Poll Numbers

It appears that many American voters are starting to awaken from their Obama-induced stupor. Those that voted for the current President must be starting to ask themselves,”What have I done?”

Obama’s approval numbers are on the downhill slide as reported by Rasmussen.
Rassmussen Reports – Obama Approval Index History

When economically oppressive legislative bills that equate to national debt are given ample time for adequate debate before voting and passage in Congress it gives the American public an opportunity to read and digest exactly what is being proposed. We have all been duped by a rushed stimulus bill and it appears that this will not be the case when it comes to health care reform as well as the cap-and-trade bill. Poll numbers indicate Amnericans are starting to pay attention.

This continuing obsession of wanting to pass bills at breakneck speed is going to start being met with American opposition. Those Congressional politicians that are bold enough to meet with their constituents during the August recess will find there are many people that are very concerned about any changes to the current medical system. This issue alone should prove to erode the President’s approval numbers.

Smooth talk and a rush to change everything as fast as possible is not going to fool or satisfy the majority of Americans. It’s time for the Obama administration to step back, take a deep breath and contemplate a slowdown in it’s haste to bring about monumental changes to this country. If not, there will be a hastening in the downward spiral of Barack Obama’s approval poll numbers.
