Too much too fast appropriately sums up the first 50 days of Barack Obama’s Presidency. Leadership inexperience is shining through like a bright light at midnight. Here is a sampling:

* Secretary of Commerce nominee Bill Richardson withdraws amid controversy.
* Secretary of Treasury Tim Geithner nominated despite failing to pay $34,000 in overdue taxes.
* Obama lifts ban on federal funding for international groups that promote or perform abortions.
* A stimulus bill that was rushed through without a thorough review with billions of dollars of pork spending.
* Signs an executive order closing the Guantanamo detainee center within a year, no thought as to what to do with the
remaining detainees.
* Chief Performance Officer nominee Nancy Killefer withdraws after coming forward with concerns about her tax returns.
* Annette Nazareth, nominee for deputy in the United States Treasury Department, withdrew over concerns of facing criticism
for her SEC role.
* Secretary of Health and Human Services nominee Tom Daschle withdraws nomination due to his failure to accurately report
and pay income taxes.
* Judd Gregg withdraws his nomination as Secretary of Commerce citing differences with Obama policy.
* Obama administration releases Gitmo detainee to British custody.
* Record drop in Dow after Obama takes office.
* Ban lifted on federal funding for embryonic stem cell research.
* Secretary of State Clinton gives Russian foreign minister inappropriate gag gift.
* UK citizens say PM Brown snubbed by Obama administration during recent visit.

That’s a fast 50 days but it’s going to be a long 4 years.
