Love Fest on the “Hill”ary
The Senate Foreign Relations Committee voted overwhelming in support of Secretary of State nominee Hillary Rodham Clinton on Thursday in what seemed more like a Love Fest than confirmation hearing. Only missing were LSD and psychedelic lights, Clinton partied like it was 1969 through softball questioning and unending praise. The 16-1 decision came after only one day of “questioning,” with the lone dissent coming from Senator David Vitter (R-LA).
This confirmation marks the approval of yet another old crony in Obama’s “Cabinet of Change.” This whole process begs the question, “is this really necessary?” Do the bureaucrats believe we Americans actually believe they will ask tough question to their own kind? The answer is resoundingly “no.” And while Bill Clinton continues to receive millions of dollars to his foundation from the Saudi elites, we will be forced into another four years of quid pro quo with these terrorist nations.
