Lewdness From The Left

After a long absence, I have decided to emerge from the trenches of the first year law student to comment on a video that has surfaced on the internet. Yes, it may lack the salaciousness of an unassuming pop princess being video recorded in the process of lovemaking, but, nevertheless, is extremely telling and noteworthy.

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger (R-CA) greeted former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown (D) at a Democratic fundraiser held in the city Thursday night. The governor, who was already at the venue for another engagement, stopped by to extend kind words for those in attendance and was reciprocated by vulgarities nothing short of complete disrespect and outrageousness. Unable to complete one sentence without interruption, Schwarzenegger left the room graciously and with integrity. Even after the governor’s departure, the debauchery continued.

Writing this I find myself compelled to answer the governor’s detractors with the same amount of evil and venom they displayed, but I choose the higher ground. The video speaks for itself. I ask the city of San Francisco, are you proud of these leaders? Is this the change you believe in? I myself would be completely and utterly embarrassed that I have these despicable human beings representing me as my voice. The problem is, of course, the representatives are the mirror image of their constituents. What happened to respecting a person’s office? I guess that only applies when a Democrat holds the seat. We don’t even have to mention the way everyone, including the mass media, departed from this etiquette when it came to President George W. Bush.
