Health Care Reform – Full Steam Ahead

It seems nothing is going to stop this runaway freight train called health care reform. Train engineer Barack Obama is at full throttle and not backing down. He is hell-bent on ramming a health care reform bill down everyone’s throats as fast as he can, whether we like it or not. This appears to be yet another bill that blindsides the American citizens before it can be reviewed. In trying to save face Obama repeats the mantra of,”it’s not about me.” Oh, but it is about you and your administration and how much change or hardship can be inflicted on Americans.

While there are many that need affordable health care there are also many in this country that already have good health care and are very concerned about compromising this benefit, that’s correct, a benefit not a right, despite the reassurances that are coming out of the White House. Will those that currently have medical coverage now be taxed for that benefit? Will the elderly now be placed at the back of the health care line while the younger populace get placed at the head of the line? Who or what is going to pay for all of this? Questions that deserve answers not buried in the fine print.

It is completely justified that Americans question the details of any health care reform bill that is initiated by this current crop of political leaders. For Obama to imply that this is good for what ails you is condescending and arrogant. Americans should be defiant when the government tries to administer a dose of political castor oil to all of us with the caveat,”it will be good for you.”
