Franken Folly
Minnesota’s favorite comic-relief Senator was at it again yesterday. Democratic senior leadership needed a patsy to preside over the Senate and chose Al Franken with orders to stifle any hint of opposition. While Senator Joe Lieberman was offering amendments to the health care bill debacle he used up his 10 minutes and requested an additional moment to finish. In an unusual move Franken refused.
“In my capacity as the senator from Minnesota, I object,” Franken said.
“Really?” said Lieberman. “OK.”
Franken was merely carrying out orders from his senior senators.
With the majority of Americans opposed to this bill it’s no surprise that Democrats will use every means at their disposal to push and rush this horrendous piece of legislation through Congress.
It bears repeating - the majority of Americans are opposed to this health care reform bill.
Is it any small wonder that Democrats want to ram this bill through as fast as possible? When you are the majority party and your personal political agenda is such that passing a government control bill just because you can is the crux of your argument then it is imperative that the people take back control.
Most Americans realize this is government control masquerading as health care reform and they will vote their “appreciation” using the people’s control in next year’s election.
