Abominable Gore-Man Emerges From A Cold Hibernation

Just when things were cooling off Al Gore emerges to heat things back up with a resurrection of his global warming postulation. Yes, the same Nobel Peace prize winning Al Gore and star of the Academy Award winning documentary “An Inconvenient Truth”.

Evidently Gore felt an urge to step out from behind the snowbanks and defend his scientific stance against the hordes of disbelievers. His latest defense appeared as an op-ed in the New York Times. Its title was “We Can’t Wish Away Climate Change.” Unfortunately it appears that we can’t wish away Al Gore.

After several months of snow and cold Gore must have heard the cries of his faithful followers coaxing him to say something, anything in the face of overwhelming skeptics in a sea of ridicule. So he obliged his AGW disciples with an op-ed rant.

We would no longer have to worry that our grandchildren would one day look back on us as a criminal generation that had selfishly and blithely ignored clear warnings that their fate was in our hands.
~Gore op-ed excerpt

Rest assured Al that I will not be worrying, but then I don’t live in a mansion or jet-set around the world spreading fear and speculation while leaving a large carbon footprint.

The heavy snowfalls this month have been used as fodder for ridicule by those who argue that global warming is a myth, yet scientists have long pointed out that warmer global temperatures have been increasing the rate of evaporation from the oceans, putting significantly more moisture into the atmosphere — thus causing heavier downfalls of both rain and snow in particular regions, including the Northeastern United States.
~Gore op-ed excerpt

Wouldn’t warmer temperatures have this increased precipitation falling as rain and not snow? In fact every state in the continental U.S. has received siginificant snow this winter including the Deep South.

Because the world still relies on leadership from the United States, the failure by the Senate to pass legislation intended to cap American emissions before the Copenhagen meeting guaranteed that the outcome would fall far short of even the minimum needed to build momentum toward a meaningful solution.

The pathway to success is still open, though it tracks the outer boundary of what we are capable of doing. It begins with a choice by the United States to pass a law establishing a cost for global warming pollution. The House of Representatives has already passed legislation, with some Republican support, to take the first halting steps for pricing greenhouse gas emissions.

I hope that it will place a true cap on carbon emissions and stimulate the rapid development of low-carbon sources of energy.
~Gore op-ed excerpt

There you have the crux of the op-ed message. This is a call to arms for the hoodwinked masses to push for cap and trade legislation.

Al Gore is in crisis mode and attempting to salvage his global warming, climate changing empire. There is money to be made from this present day “gold rush” and prospector Al is going to be first in line to stake his claim on the green technology Mother Lode. That is “an inconvenient truth”.
