Rush Limbaugh’s Critics Lack Evidence

It seems those critics that are judging whether or not Rush Limbaugh should own a football team have some misplaced misconceptions. Rush is not an athlete, a politician, nor a racist. He is in fact a man that started with nothing and became very successful by telling it like it is. This alone draws the ire of very many people, especially those of the liberal left persuasion who live in a world of double standards and hypocrisy where Rush holds their feet to the fire.

Some of the first ones to jump into the fray were none other than Reverends Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. They wasted no time proclaiming their opposition to Rush Limbaugh owning an NFL team. Here are arguably two of the most divisive people in the United States of America today. Yet they receive a free pass from the main stream media. Why is that? You can come to your own conclusions. Reverend Al even had the gall to demand a meeting with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell so that he could properly counsel him on the “myriad of reasons” why Limbaugh should not be allowed to buy the Rams.

There are some football players stating they would refuse to play for St.Louis if Rush bought into the team. I don’t believe they would give up their multi-million dollar salaries over principles. If so, show them the door and as they’re leaving advise them to avoid the line of players that are willing to take their place.

If Rush Limbaugh is indeed the divisive racist that many are claiming him to be would he not have lost sponsors and been removed from his EIB (Excellence in Broadcasting) seat long ago in much the same way Imus met his fate? There are many detractors and accusers but no substantive evidence of racist malice only tender feelings of the politically correct where sensitivity reigns and truth hurts.

Commissioner Goodell told reporters, “I’ve said many times before, we’re all held to a high standard here.” Does that also include the players Commissioner? This is not exactly a gathering of acolytes. Maybe Goodell should include everyone in his “high standards” before he turns the NFL into a sanctuary of piety.

Now that Rush has been dropped from the bidding the NFL is showing its true liberal colors.

A recent comment made towards Patriot’s Tom Brady bears repeating for the NFL – “take off the skirts and put on some slacks.”
