Gaff Queen Embarrasses King

If Vice President Joe Biden can be considered the “King of Gaffs,” then his wife is well suited as his queen. The couple appeared on a special Oprah Winfrey Show yesterday honoring the inauguration of President Barack Obama in Washington, DC. During the interview Jill Biden inadvertently slipped by telling the audience her husband was offered the job of either U.S. Vice President or Secretary of State. The remark was met by a beet-faced Joe who quickly “shushed” his mate and dismissed the notion. Mrs. Biden added more foot-to-mouth by emphasizing her statement with a “OK, he did!”

Obama-Biden handlers were busy that evening backpedaling the tongue slip on various news outlets. One has to wonder, “How do those seconds taste, Madame Secretary?”
