Joe the Plumber

What happened last night between Senators Obama and McCain? Was that a Presidential debate or a discourse on Joe the Plumber? Who is Joe the Plumber? He is a man that Obama met on the campaign trail in Ohio that had a legitimate concern over the Senator’s definition of wealth. It’s rather difficult to accept the premise that hard work, risk, and having a business worth $250,000 is placed in the wealthy category and the tax from profits are used to spread the wealth around. Where is the incentive to start your own business? It would appear that success, no matter how little, is always penalized. This hardly compares to a multi-billion dollar company where CEO’s make multi-million dollar salaries. Senator Obama is a smooth operator and visions of “Slick Willie” come to mind. Here’s hoping that every hard working, responsible American makes $249,999.99 should we find ourselves in a President Obama administration.
